Oetker-Kast presents a personal view of America aside from the highlights and usual freak shows. The photographer drove almost 7,300 miles with his wife Angelika and their dog Dumpty across the country from the West Coast to the East Coast. They drove through the Nevada desert, Hurricane Irene, Lake Michigan, and Samuel Adams’ grave – looking for wonderland.
