Ken Light, a freelance documentary photographer, has focused his work on social issues facing American for over 40 years. His monograph of photos from 1969 to 1974 document the upheaval and turmoil of America’s social landscape that Light witnessed while traveling the country, resulting in the plaguing question asked here, “What’s going on?”
His work has been published in nine books, including, What’s Going On? Coal Hollow, Delta Time, To The Promised Land, With These Hands, Texas Death Row, and Valley of Shadows and Dreams. He is also the author of Witness in Our Time: Lives of Working Documentary Photographers, now in its second edition.
