The United States landscape lays deeper than its borders. It lays within its people have who forged it into cities and destinations. From the roads to the rivers that connect the mountains to the prairies the people tell its story through skylines and footsteps. This black and white collection tells the story of a nation that even at its simplest is wrapped in an undeniable beauty often unrecognizable to itself.
Gunning grew up in rural Australia. The driving purpose for all his work has been to demonstrate the similarities of all cultures and ethnicities with the intention of breaking down social pre-conceptions.
Jay has had several inclusions and three solo exhibitions plus awarded success within the advertising industry. Inspired to explore and gain a greater understanding of communities around the globe is part of his pursuit of positive social change and these values are reflected in his urban works. He currently lives in New York City.
